OPTIONS EDUCATION PROGRAM
All Vermonters applying for placement in a nursing facility will be offered an opportunity for options education. The nursing home social worker will refer a person to the Options Education Program administered by ACHH&H. The Options Education Program provides comprehensive information about choices for elders and adults with disabilities; choices about how and where to live, and what services they may be eligible to receive. The service is free, and available to any Vermonter considering a move to a nursing facility.
