Currently, Addison County Home Health provides care on a fee-for-service basis. Generally, patients are covered by health insurance policies or by federal and state entitlement programs such as Medicare or Medicaid. When only a part of the cost is covered by one of these programs, or when the patient is not eligible for assistance through these programs, the patient is billed for the service provided. Patients who have no source of funding may be eligible for payment of services based on a sliding fee scale. Fees are based on agency costs and may be adjusted to the patients individual income.
