HOMEMAKER
The homemaker program is designed to meet the non-clinical needs of individuals who do not have the resources to buy services on the open market. The homemaker provides assistance with household tasks for those who can no longer meet these needs for themselves. The homemaker assists with light cleaning chores, does laundry and can prepare and serve meals. They may also do grocery shopping and other errands for those unable to leave their homes. Most insurances do not pay for homemaker services. However, fees are based on agency costs and may be adjusted to patients individual income. Limited funds are available through a legislative grant for people in need of financial assistance.
