Our home health aide program provides personal care services to patients under the supervision of a nurse or therapist. Home health aide services are utilized for those people who do not have an available caregiver. Our home health aides are licensed nursing assistants who assist patients with bathing, dressing and other personal care tasks. They can also assist with transfers to beds and wheelchairs, and can assist with prescribed exercise programs.
Our home health aides act as liaisons with nurses and/or therapists, informing them of changes in a patient's condition. Their presence and assistance provides essential support in times of stress and illness. Frequency and time of visits are determined by the nurse of therapist, the patient and the Home Health Aide Coordinator. Additionally, the home health aide may carry out very simple homemaking tasks, such as bed-making, laundry, washing a few dishes or light meal preparation.
